FUN AND TRAINING IN SAFETY
Join my avalanche‑risk management weekend workshops. During snow excursions in stunning locations, with an overnight stay at altitude, you’ll learn prevention techniques and gain the skills you need to approach the winter mountains with greater awareness
My three‑weekend programs, each consisting of two days of snow excursions with an overnight stay in a mountain hut or high‑altitude hotel, are designed to introduce participants to the wonders of the winter mountains. Moving across snow‑covered terrain with the help of snowshoes, you will learn the basic elements needed to assess the snowpack, evaluate avalanche risk, and choose the safest route and track.
The topic of avalanche accidents and their management will also be covered, including practical exercises in self‑rescue and rescuing others.
Participants who do not have their own avalanche safety equipment will be provided with a complete Beacon, shovel, and probe kit free of charge.
Group size: minimum 3, maximum 8.
Required gear: suitable boots for hiking on snow, appropriate clothing, snowshoes, and trekking poles
